JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Description:
• Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of the oil and gas company, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, software, and peripheral devices.
• Provide technical support to end-users in the oil and gas company, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to design and implement IT solutions tailored to the needs.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for IT security and data protection.
• Monitor system performance and security, implementing necessary measures to safeguard critical data and infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the oil and gas industry, recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.
• Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations, ensuring clear and concise documentation for future reference.

Requirements:

Position Title: IT Engineer
Employment Type: Contract – 1 year renewable
Salary: all inclusive depending on experience and qualifications

About the Client:

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), CompTIA A+), with a focus on IT solutions for the oil and gas industry preferred.
• Experience with IT systems and networks in the oil and gas industry, including specialized software and hardware.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices specific to the oil and gas industry.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is often preferred.
• Experience working in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
