A leading government entity in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint IT Enterprise Architect Specialist reporting to the IT Manager. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. The ideal candidate will support business management to achieve the strategic goals and supports the entity in creating world class experience, reduce risks and enhance cost-efficiency and scalability. The Enterprise Architect is expected to ensure that the overall ICT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality.

Main Responsibilities:

- Owns the IT architecture and manage all activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the architecture models and scenarios
- Ensures to apply best practices and compliance for the overall architecture and all its components
- Assists in the development of the operations strategy of the section to improve and enhance overall business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities
- Assists in the preparation of reports on the overall architecture performance for the ICT Manager
- Conducts a technological watch, participates in the studies of the general technical architecture and its evolution as well as the qualification of the platforms
- Coordinates with the external hosting and ensures they are aligned with the infrastructure strategy
- Builds, updates and maintains the Information System documentation, including application cartography, or the subsystem of the Information System, Business Applications and Infrastructure components
- Ensures permanent integrity of the IS documentation in relation to the IT Road Map
- Specifies and validates the IS urbanization standards and references
- Provides scenarios for the evolution and simplification of the Information System, taking into account decision-making issues, offers changes, organizational constraints, etc.
- Evaluates the new business needs and makes proposals and scenarios to solve the needs and problems
- Evaluates the relevance and the consistency of the projects with respect to the target architecture and the existing systems (by studies of opportunity, definition of needs, choice of architecture of the functional system, etc.)
- Takes responsibility for installation of HW/SW projects, providing effective team leadership, including information flow to and from the customer during project work
- Develops well written, well-structured procurement documentation that clearly sets out the business requirements and in-scope/out of scope work items
- Monitors procurement and contract management processes to ensure they are open, transparent and competitive, and that contract performance is effective
