JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for all facets of the organizations technology computing services, data centre and infrastructure delivery functions, including infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, administration, operational management, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient, stable, reliable and secure operations of the organizations IT infrastructure platform that serves the Corporate users, Reservation System and all attributes that it interacts with it, Flight Operations systems such as departure control systems, network planning systems, crew briefing systems etc.

Provide strategic and operational leadership for developing and implementing policies, processes and decision making activities for IT Infrastructure.Lead the IT Infrastructure and govern the operation functions to provide the technology foundation for the clients enterprise business systems, applications and PSS.

These areas include computing infrastructure for all of the client's staff and offices; hardware systems, data centers, servers, storage, networks, telephony, information security and databases that enable the clients business departments, the reservation system and the supporting flight operations systems to carry out their functions.

Key Activities:
- Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT Infrastructure strategy and roadmap for next 10 years, integrating and managing the company's information technology services and those supporting new enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Responsible for leading and managing the team of IT Infrastructure professionals and subject matter experts who govern the architecture, design, implementation, hosting, management and enhancement all IT Infrastructure and related services for the client including the reservation systems platform across on-premise and cloud infrastructure such as AWS and AZURE.
- Responsible for managing complex projects and delivering new Infrastructure-related technology solutions and capabilities to the business. Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies, their impact on the enterprise architecture and ensure excellent return on investment while reducing the total cost of ownership.
- Responsible in ensuring a stable computing environment that provides stability, reliability and appropriate redundancy to the business users and applications, reservation system, data center(s) and all its external hosting facilities.
- Key stake holder in evaluation, selection, and management of vendors, business partners, and solutions providers related to infrastructure for IT and business initiatives and a key stakeholder in shaping the future of the PSS platform.
- Develop a design framework, establishing standards for IT infrastructure, networks, operating procedures and data security. Ensure that the teams adhere to the standards.
- Ensure that the IT infrastructure is of best in class design and meets all functional and non-functional requirements and deliver the required capacity and availability and security levels
- Contribute to cost efficiencies through proper understanding of relation between business objectives and corporate strategy and ensuring the infrastructure platform meet those business objective through technology innovation.
- Participate in and contribute to strategic and business planning, policy determination and decision-making regarding overall IT management matters in conjunction with the Head of Software Engineering, Business Alignment, PMO and IT Operations.
- Leads, mentors and evaluate the IT Infrastructure team to ensure achievement of business objectives and a strong team orientation. Sets performance goals and provides feedback, coaching and developmental planning to support and motivate staffs in meeting expectations
- Responsible in managing the IT infrastructure assets across on premise data center and the cloud. Define and manage the IT Infrastructure budget.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor of Technology/Computer Science/Engineering
- Active Practitioner of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Togaf, Zachmann
- ITIL
- CCNP, CCIE
- MCSE
- RHEL Certified
- CISSP
- Citrix / VMware / Xen certifications
- 10+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure Architecture and 24x7 critical IT Operations including Server, LAN and WAN management over multiple Tier 3+ data centers
- 10+ years exposure to multiple technology stacks including, but not limited to: Unix, Linux, Wintel
- 5+ years designing and managing IT infrastructure for large-scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms across multiple data centers
- 5+ years people/team management
- 5+ years with experience in Virtualization (Vmware / Hyperv / Xen)
- 3+ Cloud Infrastructure architecture and operations – AWS / AZURE

Knowledge / Skills
- Accomplished technologist, skilled in infrastructure and network architecture, system engineering, network engineering, disaster recovery / business continuity and regulatory compliance including DESC ISR and PCI DSS.
- Strong understanding of airline systems and their related networks and data centres
- Expertise in using various monitoring, service management, and capacity planning tools.
- The ability to excel in a fast paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints
- The ability to work in technology areas outside of their expertise
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing executive level management and key stakeholders
- Strong business and technical vision with experience in setting strategies, roadmaps, and budgets
- Working knowledge of managing a mixed environment of UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, client-server and Web architectures, business applications, Oracle and SQL Databases, firewalls
- Skilled in evaluating, implementing and operating information security tools and applications, Privileged Access Management, Identity Access Management, SIEM, SCCM, SCOM, network management, data center management and an expert understanding of IT operations and best practices (ITIL, CMMI, COBIT etc.)

Additional Requirement:
- MS.in Engineering is desirable
