Job description

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for users
  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the ticketing system
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
  • Perform routine technical assistance and maintenance duties
  • Maintain and update record keeping system
  • Assist with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; perform data entry and maintenance of records
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements and skills

  • 0-3 years of experience as an IT support consultant
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, software installations and IT hardware
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and calm-tempered
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, computer science or relevant field
