Junior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and will be responsible for supporting the finance department in daily accounting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain valuable experience in the retail and manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare and submit tax forms and returns
- Assist in conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Support senior accountants and finance managers in various accounting tasks

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn and grow in the field of accounting
- Relevant internship or work experience is a plus
