JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Junior Network Engineer will be assisting in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure. This role holder will work alongside experienced engineers to support, configure, and optimize network systems while ensuring reliable connectivity and security.
Requirements:
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 yrs of experience in networking or IT support.
• Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs).
• Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, or other networking devices (certifications are a plus).
• Understanding of firewalls, SIEM, EDR, routers, and switches.
• Ability to use network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG, SolarWinds).
• Basic troubleshooting skills for network security and performance issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
