Junior Planning Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Jr. Planning Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Jr. Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting project planning and scheduling activities for our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using specialized software.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather and analyze project data.
• Help create and update project timelines, Gantt charts, and other planning documents.
• Support resource allocation and optimization efforts for ongoing projects.
• Participate in progress meetings and contribute to project status reports.
• Assist in identifying potential scheduling conflicts and proposing solutions.
• Help monitor project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated on local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in planning or engineering roles; internship or entry-level experience in construction or engineering projects is acceptable.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Familiarity with construction processes, methodologies, and industry standards.
• Understanding of project scheduling techniques and resource allocation principles.
• Basic knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
