Junior Site Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical junior site engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a junior site engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects from inception to completion.

• Assist in the preparation and review of construction drawings and specifications
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project milestones are met
• Maintain accurate records of site activities including daily logs and progress reports
• Participate in site meetings and communicate effectively with contractors and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation
• Support the team in resolving on-site technical issues and challenges
• Contribute to the development and implementation of project schedules and budgets
• Assist in quantity surveying and cost estimation tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in the construction or engineering field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques
• Solid understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Basic understanding of construction methods and materials
• Familiarity with site surveying techniques
• Engineering Intern (EI) certification preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions
• Valid UAE driver's license or ability to obtain one
