Key Account Manager Vessel Management

Job description

As a key account manager, the employee will be responsible for identifying and building new business while managing existing accounts.

The position and what the employee will do:

• Drive profitable sales growth from current and new customers within your portfolio.
• Develop robust and measurable sales activity plans and act assertively to deliver on the agreed targets.
• Build the sales pipeline to hit the targets as specified based on quality opportunities on existing accounts (share of wallet) and new business.
• Ensure customer portfolio adheres to all terms including credit and that the deal generates optimal return through proactive contract management.
• The customer market area is GCC countries/Middle East.

Required experience and skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred.
• Ideal to have someone with marine or mechanical engineer qualifications.
• Experience within the region, particularly Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, is beneficial.
• Arabic speaker is desirable to manage the specific customer area.
• Preferably international sales experience in technical sales.
• Results oriented with demonstrated achievements in sales.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers.
• Ability to work independently by planning and organizing own work.
• Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mindset.
• Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
• IT literate and digitally savvy with experience working with Excel, MS Office, CRM systems, etc.
• Proven communication skills and a good command of the English language (verbal and written).
