JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with an international home furnishing business that specialise in the design and production of luxury kitchens in the private residential and commercial spaces. As part of the company’s growth strategy, our client is seeking a technically competent and customer focused Kitchen Designer to join its team in Dubai.
The Kitchen Designer will design the kitchens & furniture for the showrooms, retail customers and projects across the UAE, whilst developing detailed layout and drawings with the use of applicable design software.
This role will organize the design plans and budget estimates for the kitchen / furniture design and coordinate with customers to ensure that all their requirements and specifications are integrated with the highest standards.
In conjunction, the Kitchen Designer will be involved in order processing, overseeing detailed quality checks of orders placed by the company partners. You will also coordinate with the company’s European manufacturing facility to ensure customer specifications and requirements are met.
REQUIREMENTS
The client will look to recruit an experienced Kitchen or Furniture design professional, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a leading design studio, manufacturer or distributor.
To be considered for this role, the candidate will have extensive knowledge of design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Revit or 3D Modelling software and have a strong design portfolio of residential or commercial kitchen projects. Additionally, the incumbent will have good knowledge of the materials order process, materials knowledge and technical support to customers.
The selected candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, from an internationally recognised University. Given the urgency of this hire, candidates on the ground in the UAE will be considered as a priority.
