JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are looking for an in-house Legal Assistant to support our clients General Counsel. UAE experience is essential for this role, in particular familiarity in notary and ministries is essential.
The Responsibilities include:
• Document control and file for Company & Subsidiaries/affiliates
• Board Secretarial support for all Subsidiaries/Affiliates
• Support with coordinating all legal documents related to Investment and Divestments
• Cooperating with Investment team to maintain the investment files for all existing investments
• Coordination with Notary Publics / Official Authorities
Key Accountabilities – Include Strategic, Managerial and Operational Accountabilities
• The creation & timely distribution of agenda for Board of Directors of Company / Subsidiaries’/ affiliates’ meeting (e.g. Board & Committees Meetings).
• Provide notice of meetings of the Subsidiaries / Affiliates Board when such notice is Required
• Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles
• Organize and maintain Documents / Agreements / Minute of Meetings in a paper or electronic filing systems and safe storage of Company / Subsidiaries / Affiliates & other legal documents.
• Ensures that an up-to-date copy of the Bylaws and Delegation of Authority (“DOA”) is available at all meetings.
• Maintain and monitor a calendar of important dates for Company / Subsidiaries / Affiliates.
• Assisting the Company Secretary in Preparing the annual schedule for Company / Subsidiaries / Affiliates Board meetings and Committees meetings.
• Work closely with General Counsel & Company Secretary and other senior management of the team in order to provide assistance in legal and corporate governance.
• Supporting with other admin work such as managing & maintaining website, administrative issues and marketing issues related to Company/ Subsidiaries / Affiliates
• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the General Counsel & Company Secretary from time to time.
Salary:
AED
16,000 to 18,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience within corporate and legal environment.
Education and Certifications
• University Graduate preferably Law
Skills and Competencies
A legal secretary requires the skills to multitask effectively:
• A keen eye for detail and good knowledge of Company law is an advantage
• Excellent business writing skill in English
• Discretion when handling confidential information
• Numerical reasoning skills
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Computer applications
• Strategic Alignment & Execution
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also essential for this career
• Computer skills are required since many legal documents are created and altered electronically.
• MUST have UAE experience of at least 1 year
