JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with a global maritime company who are looking to expand their legal team in Dubai. The company are well established in the region and operate around the world. It’s an exciting time for a member of Legal Counsel to join a business which has experienced growth and will continue to diversify over the next few years.
The role will involve drafting and reviewing a wide range of corporate / commercial contracts. A focus will be on shipping / maritime work such as vessel contracts, charter agreements, acquisitions and disposals. There will be elements of JV / financing work involved as well as general procurement / labour contracts. You will report to a senior and be supported by assistants.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have previous shipping / maritime experience, however a strong commercial background would be of interest. PQE circa 4-8 years, private practice would be an advantage. Western education is preferred and the ability to work in a demanding environment is essential. European based candidates accepted.
