JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Initial 3 month contract May to August with a potential of extending or going permanent.
• My client is seeking a 2-5 yr PQE lawyer with strong corporate/commercial background (in-house experience a plus).

Employment law helpful. The role entails:

• Low and medium risk contract reviews and approvals across all the groups' businesses:

- Commodities
- Property (Sales & Leasing, Asset Management, Community Management and New Developments)
- Free Zone
- Corporate (Marketing, IT, HR etc.)
- Other subsidiaries

• With regard to employment law advisory you will be dealing with corporate employment law issues across the Group and subsidiaries.
• Contract approvals
• Advisory
• Governance & Risk
• Templates - Custodian of and managing, developing, updating and storing contract templates.
• Managing Associate - Responsibility for effective management of outsourced overflow capacity arrangements and law firm mandates including appointment and maintenance, communication of instructions, managing quality and timing of delivery and on-going relationship management.

Salary:
AED 28,000 to 30,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications - Bachelor, honours or master’s degree from an international university and graduate of an accredited law school
• Experience - 2-5 years’ experience as a lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (UK, USA or Australia) or with an international law firm in the ME region.
• Knowledge - Strong corporate/commercial background (in-house experience a plus).
• Employment law helpful.
• Skills - Excellent English language skills. Arabic communication skills (written and spoken) an added benefit. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Traits - Self-motivation to work independently, willingness to challenge assumptions.
