Legal Counsel

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our real estate team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to the organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing all legal aspects of the real estate operations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the organization on real estate transactions, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to real estate operations in the UAE.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including leases, purchase agreements, and other real estate contracts.
- Manage legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration related to real estate matters, and work with external counsel when necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations in the UAE and provide guidance to the organization to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, and finance to ensure legal compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Participate in due diligence processes for real estate transactions and provide legal input on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and conduct training programs to educate internal teams on legal and compliance matters related to real estate operations.

REQUIREMENTS

- Must be an Arabic speaker.
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- At least 5 years experience working for a notable Real Estate Developer.
- Proven experience working as a Legal Counsel or in a similar legal role within the real estate industry in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices in the UAE.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide timely and practical legal advice to support business objectives.
- Experience in managing legal disputes and working with external counsel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Arabic language will be an advantage.
