JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing financial losses due to theft, fraud, and operational errors. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will implement security measures, conduct investigations, and develop strategies to prevent losses within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential areas of vulnerability
- Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or misconduct within the organization
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and legal teams as necessary
- Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and policies
- Train and educate staff on best practices for preventing and reporting suspicious activities
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in loss prevention, security management, or a related field, preferably within the retail industry.- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, including CCTV surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and address potential security risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic retail environment and handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to loss prevention and security measures.
- Certification in loss prevention or security management is a plus.
