JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

REQUIREMENTS

• Electronics/communications/computer engineer – mandatory
• Deep knowledge of transmission systems, especially SDH, OTN and PDH – mandatory
• Deep knowledge of the packet data world, especially the OSI 7 layer model – mandatory
• Knowledge and experience with telephony networks – mandatory
• Knowledge and experience with optical fibers – mandatory
• Knowledge and experience with satellite communications – mandatory
• Knowledge of the RF world – mandatory
• Knowledge of optical technologies, such as optical fiber systems, WDM and DWDM multiplexing and optical testing equipment (OSA, OTDR) – mandatory
• Deep knowledge of satellite technologies, such as DVB and VSAT arrays – mandatory
• Experience in operation and maintenance of transmission systems – mandatory
• Experience in operation and maintenance of satellite systems including all their components (modems, samplers, spectrums, etc.) – advantage
• Intelligence background and/or experience working with intelligence organizations – advantage
• Experience working at a telecom company – advantage
• Instructional background – major advantage
• Self-learning abilities
• Strong analytical abilities
• Creativity, initiatives and willingness to work hard
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Driver’s license
