JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Reports to: Project Director
Project: Marine works
Responsibilities
- Sampling & data processing and analysis;
- Marine and ground water quality, coral, fish, sea grass & macro algae surveying;
- Ground truthing (GIS);
- Retrieval and analysis of topographic and hydrologic data;
- Sediment sampling, noise, dust, vibration, sedimentation & marine discharges monitoring;
- Coral relocation if needed;
- Implementation and supervision of environmental impact monitoring and survey programs;
- Onshore and offshore biodiversity surveys;
- Interfacing and conducting negotiations with regulators on environmental matters;
- Screening of biodiversity surveys reports;
- Involvement in the creation and implementation of Environmental Protection Plan.
Project Programme: Operational by July 2018
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years experience
- MSc applied biology from a Western University
- MUST have experience of the Dubai municipality policies & procedures
- Worked for Major Contractors or Clients
- Experienced with construction projects – clients, consultants or contractors
