JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Perform skilled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on vessel machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Core Responsibilities:
• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance on marine engines, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and other issues ensuring effective and efficient resolution.
• Perform repairs and overhauls on marine machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Comply with safety regulations, quality standards and procedures.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and maintenance of good condition.
• Check part availability and inventory and ensure to order spare parts as required.
• Prepare maintenance reports and documentation including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory management.
• Participate in emergency repairs as required.
Requirements:
Years of Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.Educational and Technical Qualifications: Secondary School, vocational or technical training in marine engineering or a related field.
