JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client, a large media and publishing house, is currently looking for a Marketing and Event Executive. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Create awareness of and develop the brand of the company
• Communicate with target audiences and build and develop customer relationships
• Help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns
• Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts
• Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns
• Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts
• Run social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement
• Organize and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
• Source and secure sponsorship
• Liaise with designers and printers and organize photo shoots
• Arrange the effective distribution of marketing materials
• Maintain and update customer databases
• Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
• Involve formulating ideas for events, discussing with company stakeholders, putting together guest lists, liaising with partners to host/run the events, project managing the event itself (invitations, on the day, write-ups etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in events coordination and marketing
• Experience in conference marketing specifically (producer skills are a plus)
• Excellent English communication skills (Arabic is a bonus)
• Delegate acquisition at C-Level
• Previous experience working with sales, editorial and design teams
• Previous experience in delivering 3rd party managed events
• Account management
• Degree or high qualification
• The ability to work alone or with internal teams in a pro-active, dynamic and organized manner
