An exceptionally exciting role, working for a leading global brand as Marketing Director; developing and executing marketing strategy across various MENA segments, focusing on developing Brand growth, raising awareness & building equity.

Description

Key Responsibilities will include:

Marketing Strategy/ Key Initiatives

* Ability to identify and develop Brand growth strategy, based on category/ product knowledge objectives, market characteristics, and cost implications.
* Synchronize & collaborate with Int'l Marketing teams and MENA Sales teams to roll- out strategic initiatives across region and per local fit.
* Initiate category, customer/ consumer research studies and analyze findings across various emerging trends for different channel business segments.
* Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer/ consumer experience across multiple segments and touch points.
* Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify major opportunities.
* Initiate and formulate key activities to promote products in integration with Segment Directors, Sales teams, RTM partners and key customers.
* Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows.
* Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide leadership and perspective for adoption where needed. Design Digital Strategy and further develop our social media platform(s).
* Measure and report performance (Payback analysis) of all marketing activities, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
* Manages Brand/ Product financial aspects of concept development, Support budgets, expenditures, research, etc.
* Communicate & collaborate with agencies, qualitative and quantitative research institutions.

Portfolio/ Product Management

* Apply Portfolio Management techniques to optimize range, Mix, reduce complexity and provide competitive leadership through innovative products and solutions.
* Develop Category Management methodologies to add Value and create competitive edge.
* Develop Marketing tools/ enablers for various business channels/ segments - Product Catalogues, Sales tools, POSM, etc.
* Safeguards brand trademark, copyrights and royalty where applicable.
* Review product information and trade regulatory components of all product labels and packaging artwork to ensure compliance of claims, ingredient and nutritional statements, certifications and standards.
* Lead on the product development/ change process where needed - inclusive of product specifications as well as design, color, and packaging.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will possess the following prerequisites:

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, business administration or relevant field - MBA is a plus.
* FMCG Marketing experience is a MUST - 10- 15yrs.
* Bilingual (Arabic & English) / desirable
* Internet & Microsoft Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Strong communication skills, analytical skills with special attention to details and deadlines.
* Proactive problem solver, result- oriented, flexible with the ability to work independently or with other team members.
* Creative under pressure with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast- paced, yet lean and mean environment.
* Passionate, enthusiastic, flexible, willing to travel, work- hard and commit. A Team- Player with excellent communication skills and ability to work cross- functionally.
