Mechanical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and calculations, with experience in the review and optimisation of 3D models and detailed drawings of process equipment and pressure vessels. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects from conception through to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and analyze mechanical systems and components for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and field personnel to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems in projects.
- Perform detailed calculations and simulations to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical designs.
- Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications, reports, and design drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in project planning and scheduling, providing input on resource allocation and timelines for mechanical engineering tasks.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure best practices in mechanical engineering are applied.
- Assist in the selection and procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PV Elite or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.
- Fluency in English is required.
