JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our Tier 1 Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Commissioning Engineer (Electrical / ELV or Mechanical) to join their team in Khalifa Economic Zone (KEZAD), to work on a new data centre project in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an MEP Commissioning Engineer on major projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Commissioning Engineer for a Main Contracting company. Preference would be given to those who have worked on data centres or MCF projects previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3 Month Contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating, testing and commissioning activities and providing advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.
- Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation for inclusion in the site tests and handing over
- Ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary system / plant performance in accordance with project programme requirements and specifications.
- Conducting Client training for the systems at project location for handing over and close out of projects.
- Implement an established project plan, monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
- Plan, Allocate, Mobilize Manpower for Site with approval from Project Head.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering- Minimum of 5 years experience, at least 3 in commissioning works
- Proven experience in commissioning of MEP systems and plant (preference to profiles with data centre and MCF project experience)
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good communication skills.
