JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Omnium International is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of cost control and commercial management for a transformative shopping and entertainment district near Sharjah Airport. The role covers post-contract cost reporting and delivery across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages, ideal for a detail-driven professional ready to lead on a high-profile development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in MEP Quantity Surveying, with 2+ years in the UAE.- Proven experience on large-scale, complex projects across residential, hospitality, retail, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong post-contract expertise: managing contracts, variations, claims, and dispute resolution for MEP works.
- Skilled in evaluating contractor payment applications, negotiating claims, and preparing final accounts.
- Experienced in cost planning and control: developing budgets, forecasting, monitoring expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Proficient in cost estimating and reporting for MEP systems, with high-level analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Strong client-facing capabilities: able to build relationships, present confidently, and engage effectively with developers, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Competent in procurement strategies, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and Value Engineering for MEP systems.
- Excellent knowledge of UAE supply chain, regional material suppliers, and measurement software such as CostX.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and simplify complex information.
