Purpose of role

To execute the construction of the project in a particular discipline in accordance with contract requirements within allocated time and budget whilst maintaining the company's quality and HSE systems on site to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities / tasks

Direct supervision of project resources (labor, materials and plant) ensuring optimum performance within the scheduled program and budget.

Preparation and submission of method statements, ITPs, risk assessment, QA/QC plans, etc. as required.

Ensuring that all latest approved revision drawings, material submissions, method statements, program of works and other necessary documents are readily available for smooth and timely execution of works.

Attend project progress, technical and coordination meetings with the client, contractor and the engineer.

Day to day liaison with sub-contractors and suppliers.

Review of consolidated daily site reports submitted by site engineer, supervisors and foremen for preparation of weekly site productivity reports and responsible to implement corrective actions necessary to arrest slippage.

Monitor site progress and ensure activities conform to latest revisions of contract requirements, drawings, specifications and method statements.

Ensure non-conformances, if any, are closed taking timely preventive and corrective actions, with necessary liaison with QA/QC and HSE departments.

Prepare material and equipment requisitions in accordance with budget quantity, technical specification, quality and cost allowable.

Ensure necessary periodical inspections with main contractor, consultant and DM engineers are carried out as agreed in inspection and test plans.

Report to management any changes in the projects which may result in cost or time impacts on the company and assist in establishment of claim management strategy.

Deal with municipality, other local authorities and JAFZA authorities regarding inspection of works at sites.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company and municipality safety policies and procedures.

In major projects, coordinate with the senior projects engineer on the various day to day procedures.
