JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client are a leading MEP Subcontractor who have been executing large iconic projects in Dubai for over two decades. They are one of the most recognised MEP leaders in the market and possess a very healthy order book for 2017.
They now have an exciting opportunity for MEP Procurement Manager who can ideally start with them within the next 2 months.
Duties:
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc degree Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- More than 10 years’ experience in an MEP Procurement Manager
- Proven working experience with leading MEP Contractors
- Knowledge of modern sourcing and procurement techniques
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
General Requirements
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Strong leadership capabilities
