Network Security Engineer (FortiGate and Cisco)
The FortiGate engineer role involves enhancing and maintaining network security using FortiGate firewall solutions, working closely with the IT team to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Configuring and managing Cisco devices and FortiGate firewall devices
- Monitoring network security
- Implementing best practices
- Troubleshooting and resolving network security issues
- Performing regular system updates and patches
- Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures
- Collaborating with the IT team to ensure network reliability
- Providing training and support for network security tools
Essential Cisco skills include:
- A strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP)
- Routing and switching
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Proficiency in managing network devices
Should have good working experience on Fortinet firewall, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, Cisco devices, and Fortinet SD-WAN.
