JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Position Summary
Candidate must be an experienced IT/Networking Technical Specialist with significant experience in the development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a computing systems environment. This specialist will provide solutions to technical issues including IT, Networking and Security sensors, as well as 3rd party applications within an infrastructure and security-based environment.
Responsibilities
• Participate in and provide input into the design, re-design and development of technology products and applications
• Coordinate the implementation of new system hardware
• Liaise effectively with peers to ensure that activities are delivered in line with company requirements and that a consistent approach is taken whenever necessary
• Lead and support initiatives on behalf of the wider Services Division management team
• Lead and report information relating to hardware installation and test failures, problems, rejections and configuration management i.e. Acceptance Testing Results (ATR)
• Assist in the publication of Operational and Maintenance plans and testing
• Monitor system defects, non-conformances and issues
• Support implementation of the QA/QC procedures and engage in site activities relative to the Quality Plan
• Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
• Build upon current and develop testing and commissioning policies and procedures within the Services Division
REQUIREMENTS
Education / Certification Requirements:
• BSc in Computer Science or Information Systems Engineering from an accredited University
• Advanced graduate degrees, or technical certification in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Skills and Experience
• 5-7 years experience (Middle East preferred) in IT/Network development or technology management
• Experience in Homeland Security or Telecommunications maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience in configuration management, data management, information management, network security, IT architecture, infrastructure design, systems integration and systems life cycle management
• Proven experience with working / handling dynamic environments
• High level of English skills
• Experienced with integration procedures and trouble shooting
• Experience in the homeland security/defense market
• Driving license
