JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Field Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations and maintenance of offshore oil and gas production facilities in the UAE, particularly in Abu Dhabi. This role requires a deep understanding of offshore engineering principles and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of offshore oil and gas production facilities in the UAE, with a focus on Abu Dhabi.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure the integrity and reliability of offshore equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for offshore production issues and emergencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, HSE, and maintenance to optimize offshore operations and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the planning and execution of offshore projects, including installations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on offshore operations, performance, and incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore field engineering within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on offshore production facilities.
- Proven knowledge of offshore production systems, subsea equipment, and production optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental requirements, and industry standards for offshore operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging offshore environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
- Relevant certifications such as offshore survival, HUET, or IWCF will be an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
