JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large investment fund, offers the exciting opportunity to become an Operations Analyst within the Trade Support External Funds division reporting to the Senior Manager.

General Responsibility

Responsible for creating and assisting in the verification of SWIFT FIN messages and RMA setup with the objective of transmitting SWIFT instructions and other messages to counterparts in a timely and accurate manner and ensure SWIFT knowledge centre is perfect, validated, and highly trusted for all matters related to SWIFT.

Capable to provide trade and transition support, cash management, reconciliations, SWIFT support for all external mandates in capturing, monitoring and verifying processed trades (Equities, Bonds, Repos, OTCs, Futures, Options, Collaterals etc), investigating exceptions and mismatches with custodians / FCMs / OTC counterparties (under the supervision of senior analyst and specialist) with the objective of ensuring that all trades externally settled by custodians / FCMs / OTC counterparties and internally booked on the systems in an accurate and timely manner.

Suggest system enhancements and process changes to existing systems and procedures

Review KPIs report and provide reasons for any delay in processing

Support and maintain the framework, policies, tools and processes for operations risk management across the division in line with departments objectives

Actively participate in BCM/DR testing

Areas of Responsibility:

Trade & Transitions, Support Cash Management, SWIFT Support, Message creation, RMA, Monitoring / Control, Routing Rules, Standard Release (annual), Support Centre role

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business or related field

Qualified Accountant – preferred

3+ years experience in Operations support field (SWIFT understanding is preferable)

Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required

Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and organizational skills
