JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Charterhouse is working in exclusive partnership with an international shipping company which specialises in providing Husbanding, Logistics and Operational support to its maritime clients. Due to significant growth in the region our client is looking to hire an Operations Coordinator who will assist the commercial team with sales tracking, client follow up and general administrative support.

Our client is looking for a highly organised and dedicated individual who is willing to immerse themselves fully in to the business, developing their knowledge about the companies’ service offerings and the industry. This is a fast-paced role where no two days will be the same therefore the successful candidate should have excellent multitasking skills and sharp attention to detail. The typical duties will be geared towards managing the filing system, preparing important contracts, quotations and port visit documentation, in addition to communicating requests for quotations with various agents in a timely manner.

There will be a regular requirement to accompany the operations team to the local port to complete handover and exchange/signature of all the necessary documentation. The Operations Coordinator will act as a liaison between the business and its partners and will have access to highly sensitive information, therefore it is imperative that the successful candidate is extremely professional and discreet when handling confidential information on behalf of the business.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience at a coordinator level, preferably working in the logistics or shipping industry. It is important that the successful candidate has strong knowledge of tools such as Microsoft office, excel, and drop box. Our client is looking for someone who is flexible to adapt to the needs of the business and is highly organised and solution orientated.
