JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing all shop related activities and functions. Ensures that all customer manufacturing and repair requirements are met. Ensures that contract specific manpower / tooling costs are maintained within acceptable levels, that product quality is maintained and agreed delivery schedules are met. Ensures compliance of safety rules as well as company policies and procedures.
The position has 10 to 15 direct reports (circa 160 indirect). This position reports to the General Manager.
The Manager interacts with various other departmental managers within the facility to ensure the effective functioning of all workshops.
REQUIREMENTS
- MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE, in workshop (not field operations)
- Machining equipment
- Qualified engineer (ideally mechanical)
The role has a direct route to step into senior management. I'm short listing for functions in; Dubai (must have Wellhead experience), Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.
