Role purpose
The operations officer's main responsibility is to ensure smooth operations of daily routine work to be carried out without any major hurdles and ensure that the client business is served well to carry on the daily operations. All these need to be carried out within defined policy and procedures.
This position ensures the bank is protected at all times with appropriate source documents, legally enforceable charge documentations/securities, and monitored through a follow-up system for routine actions.
Key accountabilities of the role
- Ensure that all terms and conditions stipulated in the credit approval as precedent to disbursement of limits have been fully complied with. All securities and required documents must have been obtained prior to releasing limits for the assigned segment. If not, a specific waiver/deferral must be available on record.
- Handle the technical aspect of system enhancement and validate the new patch which is deployed in the system.
- Coordinate with customers and sellers to arrange the transfer/mortgage and arrange the mortgage registration. Visit land departments of different emirates to process the mortgage.
- Manage the RCSA and DCFC of the department and implement strong controls within home finance operations.
- Review cases associated from stage 1 to stage 2 and complete the tasks within the functional framework. Also responsible for post-disbursement cases and reporting to the risk team.
- Provide assistance to the manager in formulating, updating, and implementing SOPs for the department and enhance SOPs to bring more control.
- Coordinate with the concerned team, inform about discrepancies, confirm once completed, and coordinate with the respective team.
- Manage the manager's cheques portfolio from printing and maintain the record of issued, cancelled, and pending manager's cheques. Have control on the inventory and handle complicated transactions.
- Have a great understanding of home finance operation processes including the back-end accounting entries and not limited to system enhancement.
- Possess in-depth knowledge to handle the home finance end-to-end process from log in to disbursement.
Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role
- A thorough understanding of bank policies and product knowledge.
- A thorough understanding of Islamic products.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
