JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Partner with a focus on Shipping and Maritime law to join our prestigious law firm in Dubai, UAE.
The successful candidate will lead our Shipping and Maritime practice and play a key role in driving the firm's growth and success in this sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Shipping and Maritime practice, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team.
- Handle a wide range of complex Shipping and Maritime law matters including contracts, disputes, regulatory compliance, and transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-quality legal advice and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Drive business development initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new opportunities, networking, and contributing to the firm's marketing efforts.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in legislation, and market developments to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of Shipping and Maritime law.
Salary:
AED
65,000 to 100,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualified lawyer with a strong track record in Shipping and Maritime law, ideally with experience at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to engage with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders at all levels.
- Business acumen and a strategic mindset, capable of driving the growth and success of the Shipping and Maritime practice.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective legal solutions to clients' challenges.
- Membership in good standing with the relevant professional body and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Executive search involves working with a third party, such as JEX Personnel.
Executive search is relationship driven. JEX Personnel will work closely with you to understand the requirements of the role. It is a research-led approach, meaning a search firm will be paid a retainer fee upfront to carry out analyse the marketplace and benchmark for skills/roles and salaries.
A search firm will tend to have extensive knowledge of and access to board directors and senior executives across industries and functions, allowing them to build a large pool of top executive talent
