JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert section. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking, excellent creativity, and strong attention to detail. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for developing new recipes, overseeing daily production, and ensuring high-quality presentation of all desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
• Menu Development: Create and design unique and seasonal dessert menus.
• Baking & Pastry Preparation: Prepare high-quality pastries, cakes, bread, and desserts.
• Quality Control: Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of all baked goods.
• Ingredient & Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Maintain cleanliness and ensure food safety regulations are met.
• Team Management: Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
• Creativity & Innovation: Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the pastry offerings.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Sous Chef specializing in baking and desserts.• Culinary degree or relevant professional training in pastry arts.
• Strong knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques.
• Creativity and artistic skills in decorating cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and time management skills.
