JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a talented and experienced Perfumist to join our team in Dubai, UAE. As a Perfumist, you will be responsible for creating and developing unique and captivating fragrances for our products. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, driving innovation and excellence in the fragrance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new fragrances that align with the company's brand and market positioning
- Conduct research on market trends and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new fragrance development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and sales to understand product requirements and design fragrances accordingly
- Conduct sensory evaluations and tests to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of the developed fragrances
- Manage and maintain fragrance libraries, ensuring accuracy and organization of samples and formulas
- Stay updated on industry regulations and guidelines pertaining to fragrance ingredients and formulations
- Participate in fragrance workshops, trade shows, and industry events to network and stay informed on industry best practices and innovations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Perfumist or in a similar role within the fragrance industry- In-depth knowledge of fragrance ingredients, raw materials, and formulation techniques
- Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen sense of smell and a passion for creating unique fragrances
- Excellent understanding of market trends and consumer preferences in the fragrance industry
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, effectively communicating and translating product requirements into fragrance concepts
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency in fragrance development in attars and oils
- Familiarity with industry regulations and guidelines related to fragrance development and formulation
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
