JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Guildhall is proud to be supporting our client on a prestigious resort island development in Abu Dhabi. The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities. The role requires strong technical expertise and leadership to ensure that construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develops the most appropriate methods and sequences of activities in coordination with the Project Manager.
* Plans, organizes, and coordinates project planning activities.
* Prepares and manages project schedules, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
* Oversees shutdown, turnaround, preventive, and corrective maintenance planning.
* Monitors project progress against baseline schedules and updates accordingly.
* Manages critical path analysis and ensures integration across design, engineering, procurement, and execution phases.
* Prepares monthly progress reports, labor histograms, and related planning documentation.
* Provides data-driven insights for budgeting, resource allocation, and project improvement.
* Ensures compliance with contractual milestones and sets alerts for key dates.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.* Minimum 15 years’ experience in project planning, ideally on large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
* Must hold Engineering Classification in Abu Dhabi as “Specialized Engineer.”
* Strong proficiency with project management and planning software (Primavera P6).
* Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate in a multidisciplinary construction environment.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities.
* Commitment to ethical standards and continual improvement.
