JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
As a planning manager, your role will involve executing the specific purchasing plan for each merchandise category within the brand, guided by the business plan and aligned with the company and brand partner agreements.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute detailed purchasing plans for each merchandise division within the brand, aligned with the company's business plan and brand partner agreements.
* Meet or exceed sales targets for all brands.
* Achieve and enhance targeted gross margins for all brands.
* Increase inventory turnover rates
* Monitor open-to-buy (OTB) limits and inventory budgets.
* Optimize the fashion garment assortment for the brand, considering size ratios, top and bottom ratios, and color combinations.
* Foster and sustain relationships with licensees and principals.
* Ensure timely delivery of merchandise to stores.
* Recommend retail pricing, determine sale lines, and establish markdown strategies.
* Propose in-season pricing promotions based on inventory requirements and collaborate with the brand team to execute marketing strategies.
* Ensure optimal merchandise assortment in all stores based on space management options, store trends, categories, and sales performance.
* Ensure regular training on seasonal trends , Buy direction is provided to brand managers, country managers , buyers, etc as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail merchandising and Planning management.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales performance data.
* Exceptionally good at Microsoft Excel and good with Numbers.
* OTB Planning experience.
* Experience in fashion retail or related industry preferred
