Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional primary teacher to support our expansion and provision across this phase of the school.

Due to our expansion, applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are passionate and forward thinking and who will thrive in the vibrant learning environment of Hartland. By being ambitious, not only for students but for yourself, you will help us build and maintain a successful programme of study in the primary phase by sharing responsibility for teaching, learning, enrichment and pastoral care.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons that promote thinking, collaboration and learner agency
  • Create a stimulating yet safe learning environment centred on high expectations of relationships, behaviour and wellbeing
  • Adapt instruction effectively to meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor, evaluate and affect student progress on an individual basis
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to secure excellence in planning, teaching and assessment
  • Exercise agency in professional growth pathways provided by the school and other external sources
  • Contribute meaningfully to the school's enrichment programme to introduce and develop new learning opportunities for students
  • Forge strong home-school partnerships with parents to the benefit of the child
  • Contribute to the wider development of a thriving, cohesive school community

Essential requirements:

  • Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
  • Have qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have a minimum 2 years teaching experience in the UK or in an international setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have knowledge of adaptive teaching and assessment strategies
  • Be committed to the Hartland values

The closing date for this position is 5 December 2025. Early applications are encouraged as we may interview on receipt of applications, prior to the closing deadline. Interviews will take place in Dubai and London in January. Start date for this position is August 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a video of them teaching unless they are UAE based, in which case they will be invited to teach a lesson in school.
