Position overview

The Atkinsru00e9alis Infrastructure Business is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter to join our Dubai office as a principal dry utilities engineer. The principal engineer will support infrastructure multi-disciplinary projects for clients in GCC, including planning, designing and engineering related to dry utilities networks which may be comprised of power (MV/LV), substations and networks, renewable energy resources, street lighting, telecommunication, ELV systems, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure project delivery.
• Support single and multi-disciplinary discipline bids, with a clear focus on what is needed to win.
• Continue to build relationships with existing clients, securing repeat business and identifying additional business opportunities.
• Build and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities.
• Report on project performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and foster a strong health and safety culture within the team.
• Assist in developing a highly motivated and performing team, creating opportunities for individual development.
• Provide technical expertise on a variety of large engineering projects.
• Support designs and budgets and drive projects from tender to delivery in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Increase your networking profile with both internal and external clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role or project.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience and familiarity with the following programs is a plus: ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Dialux software, Revit/BIM.
• General competencies expected of all professionals and managers include client service, commitment, communication, innovation & continuous improvement, professionalism, quality, and teamwork.
• Ability to process paper and electronic documents and utilize computer equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• Ability to visit project sites if necessary.
• Ability to assemble and analyze data.
