JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
This opportunity is with a highly diversified and dynamic organization based in Abu Dhabi. The company is privately held into diversified businesses.
• As a Procurement Specialist, your role will be pivotal in managing technical procurement requirements and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• You will lead strategic procurement efforts, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the acquisition of construction materials, signage, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams, you'll forecast material needs, manage supplies, and maintain cost-effectiveness while upholding quality standards.
• Vendor management will be key as you develop relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and enforce contractual terms.
• Your expertise in contract negotiation will drive favorable terms, manage risks, and align procurement activities with project budgets.
• Utilizing your technical knowledge and quantitative surveying skills, you'll assess product quality, conduct detailed cost analyses, and identify process improvements.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining meticulous procurement records will also be critical to your success.

Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field; MBA or relevant certifications are advantageous.• Experience: Extensive experience in procurement roles, with a focus on technical procurement within construction, engineering projects, or related industries.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills, proficiency in contract management, supplier evaluation, and risk assessment. Experience with procurement software/tools and quantitative surveying expertise are highly desirable.
• Regional Experience: Proven track record working with government agencies and major clients in the UAE.
