JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This role is pivotal in managing the sourcing and purchasing of materials and equipment essential for our oil and gas EPC projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies specifically for mechanical components to optimize supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and innovative products that align with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Evaluate supplier proposals with a critical eye, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure mechanical specifications are accurately translated into procurement requirements.
• Manage inventory
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential for understanding technical specifications.• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement within EPC sector is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly valued.
• Prior experience in EPC is a must.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is essential for efficient supply chain management.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus for dealing with international suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills to assess supplier proposals and make data-driven decisions are crucial.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best terms while fostering long-term supplier relationships are required.
• Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts amicably are essential.

Salary:
AED
6,000 to 8,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
