JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods and services for a hotel. They are responsible for ensuring that goods and services are purchased at the best price and quality, and are delivered on time to meet the needs of the hotel.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve efficiency.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and prices.
• Monitor and manage the hotel's inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and prevent stock shortages.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring that they comply with the hotel's policies and procedures.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers, and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting on procurement activities, including budget and cost savings.
• Train and supervise procurement staff, ensuring that they follow proper procedures and guidelines.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and implement best practices to improve procurement processes.

Salary:
AED 7,000 to 8,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Plus Accommodation and Single Status benefits and other benefits as per UAE labour laws

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement software and systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven track record of achieving cost savings and improving efficiency.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and laws.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
