JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will be part of the Innovation Centre functionand you will be responsible for:
* Leadingeffective project management for complex innovation projects (with higher technical scope and NPV) in an assigned marketing application to meet project objectives on time, on budget and with highest quality standards.
* Contributing to the development of the marketing centre innovation strategy product portfolio in accordance with current and future technological advancements and competitive products and unspecified market needs to facilitate product development initiatives.
* Defining technical specifications for the assigned application to facilitate achievement of commercially viable solutions in accord with market requirements.
* Leading the development of testing protocols whilst managing the submission of technical proposals including performance testing, specifications and monitoring programs in order to support effective product development in adherence to defined procedures.
* Keeping abreast of Patents/Intellectual Property Right issues and developments for the assigned application while contributing the development of the IPR strategy for same to ensure optimum protection of company assets in accord with defined laws and protocols.
* Building and maintaining relationships with various industry experts, research centres and universities to execute product development strategies and plans and facilitate technology transfer for Borouge.
* Motivating, coaching, supporting team members to enhance the process competence to deliver research project objectives as per world class quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS
As a successful candidate, you should possess:
* Masters or PhD in Polymer Science & Technology or equivalent.
* Comprehensive understanding of plastics processing, testing and analytical techniques (i.e. pipes).
* Comprehensive understanding of plastics processing, testing and analytical techniques.
* In-depth understanding of pipe applications and standards.
* Excellent polymer structure - property - application relation knowledge for PE and PP.
* Excellent knowledge of polymer technologies, catalysts, and additives.
* Project management capability and knowledge.
* 5-10 years experience in a similar environment.
* In depth knowledge of processing equipment & technologies.
* Advanced knowledge of product development methodologies.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Good facilitation and coaching skills.
* Excellent problem solving skills.
* Strong internal and external network.
