JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining product quality, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage the production team and optimize manufacturing efficiency in a rubber belt production environment.
Production Management:
• Supervise daily production to meet schedules and ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production records.
Quality Control:
• Ensure products meet quality standards and collaborate with QC to address issues.
• Implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve consistency.
Team Leadership:
• Manage, train, and motivate production staff.
• Assign tasks and conduct performance evaluations.
Safety & Compliance:
• Enforce safety standards, ensure PPE use, and conduct safety briefings.
• Collaborate with HSE to maintain a safe environment.
Process Improvement:
• Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Implement lean techniques to reduce waste and downtime.
Inventory Management:
• Ensure material availability, monitor inventory, and coordinate with procurement.
• Optimize material use and reduce waste.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (preferably in rubber belt manufacturing or similar industries).
• Experience in operating and maintaining rubber processing machinery is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems for production reporting.
Salary:
AED
5,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
