International Shipyard Operator
Tax Free Salary package circa US$55,000 + family ticket + family medical
Based in Dubai, UAE
A challenging opportunity now exists with a major shipyard operator. They are currently seeking to hire an experienced Project Engineer (Design & Engineering/Shipyards). The role is based in Dubai, UAE.
In order to be considered, one should have good experience and understanding of all types of shipbuilding drawings, scheduling of such drawings, idea of 3D modeling, coordination with various sections of engineering and production, liaison with Class/Clients etc.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor work progress at site and prepare progress reports
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and government authorities to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project drawings and specifications
• Ensure Safety, Health and Environment issues at work site are observed
• Prepare engineering analysis of projects
• Maintain the Inspection and Test Plan records according to applicable standards
• Control of working man hours; coordinate with invoicers
REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Electrical Engineer
• Must have at least 3years experience in both design AND coordination in an engineering department of a shipyard or consultancy
• Must have a sound knowledge of short circuit calculations, load balance calculations, preparation of SLDs, battery sizing, idea of 3D cable routing software, BOMs for marine/offshore vessels etc.
• Good English communication skills
