JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Project Engineer (Mechanical)
Role Purpose:
• To plan, execute, monitor, control and close commercial projects within the allocated budget, time and expected quality standards and in line with the Corporation’s operational policies and procedures.
Key Activities
Tendering & Contracting:
• Ensures the preparation of engineering drawings, collects requirements from end users and to prepares scope of work for projects under assignment
• Reviews project requirements and determines necessary budget and resources to fulfill them
• Identifies potential qualified contractors outside unit rate contracts
• Conducts commercial and technical bid evaluations in consultation with Lead Projects Engineer & Commercial department managers
Project Management:
• Oversees and manages contractors work to ensure the timely execution of activities including project close out activities
• Reviews invoices submitted by contractors to ensure consistency with the work performed
• Reviews work performed and issues/obtains No Objection Certificate (NOC)s with the approval of the supervisors
REQUIREMENTS
Project Engineer (Mechanical)
Knowledge:
• Good knowledge of mechanical / piping works for the oil & gas industries
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards such as ASME/ API/ NFPA/ NEMA /IEC /IEEE/
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Oil & Gas distribution industry preferred
Competencies:
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English (Arabic is an added value)
• Strong leadership skill
• Time management skill
Driving license
• Preferred and with own vehicle
