JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client was stablished in 1994 and has since gained a reputation for being one of the leading metalwork companies in the area, having been involved in many high-profile projects in the UAE. They are now looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join their expanding team in Sharjah being responsible for Steel Structure Installation, Metal Works and Chain-link fence installation
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of projects
- Maintain control on costs, quality and time lines
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Assemble and coordinate project staff
- Manage project budget, resource allocation, schedules, quality assurance
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Provide direction and support to project team and monitor / report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Project/Site Related:
- Responsible for raising inspections at Site like WIR and MIR and Consultant approvals
- Maintain site E.H.S. procedures and policies.
- Ensure accurate setting out of works in accordance with contract drawings or approved shop drawings.
- Organize operations with Engineers and Supervisors.
- Liaise with General Foreman and Junior Engineer in respect of field problems, technical matters and site safety.
- Initiation of Technical queries and managing verbal instructions.
- Ensure preparation of Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plan, as the work schedule requires, and ensure matters of site safety are incorporated as a priority or KPI.
- Provide technical assistance and technical supervision.
- Progress measurement and reporting.
- Report on any occurrences which might create a delay or variation in the specified work.
- Liaison with client site staff.
- Oversee the material testing activities.
- Manage site interfaces
- Prepare as Built information to suit contract requirements.
- Ensure supervisors implement Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plan, as the work progresses.
- Ensure works are in accordance with QC procedures/ITPs to ensure defects revealed are resolved..
- Provide reporting to Senior Management regularly regarding all aspects of project.
- Advise all about the project quality assurance and quality control aspects and interface problems that affect the disciplined operation of the project.
- Site survey and trouble shooting, handling queries from Production departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of project and common objectives.
- Co ordinate with Production team and ensure that material is being prepared and delivered to site as per priority.
- Regularly keep Production team updated on Site Schedule & Activities through e-mail, WhatsApp, etc
- Act as a liaison between Site and Project Team.
- Daily meet Main Contractor Project Managers and team to update on project progress
- Handling Consultants and seeking MIR/WIR in time to ensure all Payment certificates are prepared with full works approval.
- Daily emailing project report to management and keeping them updated on Site progress, issues and requirements.
- Handling Multiple projects as and when required by the management.

- Internal Design, Fabrication, QA/QC, Planning, Tender and Commercial
- External Main Contractor, Consultant, Subcontractor, Project Stakeholders
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering- 5+ years in the construction field
Competencies:

Salary:
AED
7,000 to 11,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
