Job summary

We are seeking an experienced project engineer / project manager to oversee day-to-day project execution on-site, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, authorities, and internal teams, managing schedules, budgets, procurement, and resolving technical or operational issues. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UAE-based construction, infrastructure, MEP, or oil & gas projects, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver medium to large-scale projects successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day project execution activities on-site, including supervision of contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical).
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, vendors, and authorities (e.g., DEWA, Dubai Municipality) to ensure smooth project progression and compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources; track progress using tools like MS Project or Primavera and prepare regular reports and updates.
• Ensure quality control, safety (HSE) compliance, and adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Resolve technical issues, manage risks, handle change requests, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and support testing/commissioning phases.
• Manage procurement, material delivery, and logistics to align with project timelines.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders to mitigate delays and resolve conflicts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or related field); master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project execution, preferably in UAE/GCC, with a focus on construction, high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in site supervision, coordination, and delivery of medium to large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD) and reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills; ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Valid UAE driving license and willingness to work on-site.
• Experience in oil & gas or MEP projects is a plus.
