Project Manager

What you will do

The Project Manager HVAC ESCO & Industrial Refrigeration Systems is a key role directly reporting to the Director of Install Operations or Operations Manager. You will be based in Dubai and will be part of a growing team responsible for driving the growth of business for HVAC ESCO and Industrial Refrigeration Systems.

You will be managing the project management team in designing and executing projects. You will need to monitor the assigned engineering projects' QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. You will interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.

How you will do it

As an experienced Project Manager, you should have expertise in project execution and complex knowledge of designing HVAC solutions involving chillers, AHUs, FCUs, Industrial Refrigeration, and energy solutions in the Middle East region. You have to:

• Initiate and respond to contractual issues throughout the contract and project phase.
• Monitor project progress, prepare project progress reports, and represent the company in client project quality and HSE meetings.
• Be responsible for formal (letter) and informal (verbal) communication with clients, invoicing processing, and collection of payments.
• Prepare technical submittals and submit to clients; be responsible for production and issuance of design drawings and calculations.
• Prepare and comply with the project quality plan and inspection and test plans, ensuring full compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Assume full responsibility for cost management of projects; prepare and submit monthly cost reports to senior management for review.
• Initiate change processes to manage variations to contracts and follow projects to completion to ensure final payment.
• Ensure key milestone dates are met; if delays occur, develop plans to bring the project back on track.
• Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete projects on time; be responsible for resource requests within budgeted allowances.
• Develop and train allocated staff.
• Be conversant with company and client QHSE policies and procedures, ensuring operatives understand and implement them in their areas of responsibility.
• Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of quality and HSE.
• Prepare and submit project completion feedback reports to the sales department.
• Monitor progress of subcontracted works where applicable and ensure all applicable QHSE documents are available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents at the site.
• Ensure complete project data and records are archived after project completion and forwarded to the IS department for effective archiving.
• Ensure nonconformities in materials and products are dealt with according to applicable management system procedures and that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure necessary inspections and tests of products are performed; inspection and test records are maintained prior to product handover to customers.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 7-10 years project engineering experience in HVAC, ESCO, or Industrial Refrigeration systems.
• Recent experience working at a leadership level in the GCC region.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, labour management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to determine cost estimate targets during design and development processes, recommending cost-effective solutions.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use.
• Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent email etiquette.
• Strong decision-making skills.
