We are seeking an experienced Purchaser to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in procurement of Civil and MEP materials within the UAE construction market. This role requires deep market knowledge, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to source materials efficiently while ensuring quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1) Manage end-to-end procurement activities for Civil and MEP materials across multiple construction projects.
2) Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to achieve best value for money.
3) Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, conduct commercial comparisons, and finalize purchase orders.
4) Ensure materials comply with project specifications, approved submittals, and relevant standards.
5) Maintain strong relationships with local UAE suppliers and stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability.
7) Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, and Stores to ensure timely material delivery.
8) Monitor lead times, follow up on deliveries, and resolve supply-related issues proactively.
9) Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project budgets.
10) Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supplier databases.
11) Support value engineering initiatives by identifying cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.

Requirements:
1) Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in purchasing for the construction industry, handling both Civil and MEP items.
2) Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical terminology, specifications, and local supplier landscape.
3) Proven experience dealing with UAE-based suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
4) Engineering graduate is preferred (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
5) Excellent commercial judgment and negotiation skills.
6) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
7) Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
8) Proficient in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems.
